Butterscotch Beer

Ingredients

1 stick (4 oz) unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 1/2 cups lemon-lime soda

Instructions

In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt butter.

When the butter is melted, add brown sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. Whisk to combine.

Cook mixture, stirring frequently, until the brown sugar is completely dissolved, 5 to 7 minutes.

Whisk in the heavy whipping cream and continue to cook for 1 minute more.

Allow mixture to cool to room temperature, 15 to 30 minutes.

Fill 8 large glasses halfway with ice. When cool, divvy mixture between the glasses.

Slowly top with soda, be careful not to overfill, as the mixture will bubble and foam! Stir to blend and enjoy.
