Carne Asada Fries

Ingredients

1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
26 ounces frozen french fries
1 pound cooked diced carne asada
4-6 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup guacamole
1/3 cup roughly chopped cilantro
1/2 cup fresh salsa
1/4 cup sliced or pickled jalapenos
1/4 cup diced red onion

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a small mixing bowl make the nacho dust by stirring together 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper.

Spread 26 ounces frozen french fries into a single layer on an ungreased baking sheet. Sprinkle the fries with the nacho dust. Toss to make sure the seasoning is evenly distributed.

Bake the fries for 10-12 minutes or according to package instructions, until fullu cooked through.

Scatter 1 pound cooked diced carne asada over the hot fries and top with 4-6 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Bake in the oven for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, until the cheese is fully melted.

Remove from the oven and divide into desired servings. Then top with 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup guacamole, 1/3 cup roughly chopped cilantro, 1/2 cup fresh salsa, 1/4 cup sliced or pickled jalapenos, and 1/4 cup diced red onion as desired. Serve hot.
