Homemade Pico de Gallo Recipe

Ingredients

4 cups fresh tomatoes (chopped)
2 serrano peppers (finely diced)
2 cloves garlic (minced or pressed)
1 cup onion (finely diced)
½ cup fresh cilantro (finely chopped)
2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp olive oil
1 lime (juiced)
1 cucumber (diced (optional))

Instructions

Dice the onions, the garlic, and the serrano pepper. Add the diced vegetables to a non reactive bowl. Add the salt and the lime juice. Set aside.

Dice the tomatoes and add them to the bowl.

Add the diced cilantro and the olive oil.

Toss the ingredients together. Season with black pepper and more salt if needed.

Optional: Add diced cucumber.
