Oven Baked Corned Beef

Ingredients

3 to 4 pound corned beef brisket.
Spice packet that comes with the corn beef or your own spices.
Aluminum foil
Baking sheet
Dill seeds
Allspice
Cloves
Mustard seeds
Coriander seeds
Red pepper flakes
Black peppercorns
Dill seeds
Bay leaves

Instructions

Rinse your brisket with cold water.  Pat dry.  Place on a sheet of aluminum foil fat side up on a baking sheet.

Sprinkle on spices and massage in to meat. Close foil and bake in a preheated 300 degree oven for 4 hours.

Remove and open foil, place back in oven under broiler for 2 to 3 minutes to brown top.

Once cooked, let sit for 20 minutes before slicing.

Makes 6 to 8 servings depending on thickness of slices.

Seasoning Packet Instructions (if making your own)

I usually use whatever I have on hand and about 1/2 teaspoon of each of several spices mixed together.
