Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 cup whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats, 2 tablespoons baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt until fully combined.

Slowly stir in 1 1/2 cups beer. Continue mixing until all the dry ingredients are moistened and there are no dry spots remaining in the batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly. Pour 1/2 cup melted butter evenly over the top of the batter.

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Then, carefully invert the loaf onto a wire rack to cool. This bread can be served warm, cooled, or toasted.
