Greek Salad - Horiatiki Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound  (450g) tomatoes (, about 3-4 tomatoes)
1 medium red onion (about 2.5 oz - 80g)
7 oz (200g) cucumber
4 oz (120g) green pepper (, about 1 medium pepper)
1/3 cup (70g) black olives
7 oz (200g) block feta cheese
1 tbsp (15g) red wine vinegar
1/4 cup (60g) extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp dried oregano
salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

Cut the tomatoes into wedges.

Cut the cucumber into thick moon slices.

Slice the onion into thin rings.

Slice the green pepper.

Add the vegetables to a salad bowl. Add the black olives too.

Season with salt, pepper and some oregano. Add some extra virgin olive oil and red wine vinegar. Toss everything together.

Top the salad with a block of feta cheese.

Drizzle the feta with olive oil and dried oregano.

The salad is ready to serve. Enjoy!
